SPONSORS
We would like to thank everyone who supported our project, helped us and gave us ideas for succeeding in our crazy plans to just go and go through a wild and amazing continent.
As we are going to one of the hottest continents on this planet, it is essential to have good refrigeration and such a fridge must endure dusty and corrugated roads and the constant shaking of the car. For us it is important to keep our food and medication cold, and of course after a hard day driving through the bush nothing is worth more than a nice, cold beer!
The best known company with the highest quality standard for offroad fridges is ENGEL fridges Australia, a daughter company to SAWAFUJI Japan, their main distributor in Europe is www.roega.com from Germany/Austria and the Czech company DALIX, www.dalix.cz, is distributor for Czech Republic and Slovakia. After talking to Mr. Kawakami, the CEO of Engel Australia and Mr. Friedrich from Hoeco, www.hoeco.at in Austria we received a sponsorship of a 35l compressor fridge, which we picked up personally in Žďár nad Sázavou from Mr. Harvánek from Dalix.
Africa offers so many different places and landscapes and temperatures can go from extremely hot to extremely cold, especially in deserts. When bushwalking or sitting by a campfire at night or even when climbing the famous Mt. Kilimanjaro it is very important to have good quality clothing.
For this case HUMI Outdoor, a Czech outdoor company from Voznice close to Příbram, equipped us with high-quality clothing for all our needs.
Maybe when browsing their website www.humi.cz you will get inspired and motivated to get out into nature and enjoy a few nice adventures outdoors! Mr. Hněvkovský, who likes mountaineering himself, and his team will be very helpful to choose the right clothing for you.
Africa is supposed to be sunshine, hot weather and lots of insects. But we will have some rainy days, too. For this case we will have an awning, and a proper cover on our rooftent. The material and the sewing of this is made by DR. THIEL UMWELTTECHNIK, a company which works in the loadsecuring/loadcovering industry and manufactures high-quality tarps and nets, all made to measure. They make sure nothing falls off your truck and are constructing windbreakers and windfences as well. They were quite flexible to make us some flygards for our rear windows, so nothing comes in but fine African dust! More info about this company you can find on www.dr-thiel-umwelttechnik.de
